This architectural visualization presents the proposed tower at 19th and Sansom Streets near Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia. Created for DAS Architects, the project was described in 2021 as a 567-foot Pearl Properties development that would become one of the city's tallest buildings.

Rather than isolating the tower against the skyline, the single hero rendering places it at a busy city intersection at dusk. A lighter contemporary high-rise rises above a red-brick corner base with illuminated storefronts, while surrounding towers establish the density and scale of the neighbourhood.

The lower portion of the development was recreated entirely in 3D. Pedestrians gather and move along the pavements, cars and a motorcycle pass through the junction, and traffic lights, awnings, street lamps and trees give the foreground the layered detail of everyday urban life. Two tall surrounding buildings were incorporated using backplates to extend the city context beyond the fully modelled area.

This street-level approach makes the proposal feel less like an abstract object and more like part of Philadelphia's public realm. The rendering communicates the tower's height and facade rhythm, but its stronger value is showing how the development could meet the existing brick streetscape and contribute activity at ground level.

The key production challenge was blending a detailed 3D podium and animated streetscape with photographic backplates for the adjacent high-rises. Perspective, dusk colour, artificial light and motion all had to align so the tower appeared embedded in Rittenhouse Square rather than composited into an unrelated city scene.
