This full-3D concept project was inspired by a Douglaston Development scheme in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Threelight CGI created a waterfront visualization series featuring two slender residential towers, their lower urban frontage and the surrounding public realm under both daylight and dusk conditions.
Wide views establish the towers against the water, bridge and city skyline, while a dramatic low-angle image emphasizes their vertical scale and illuminated facades. At ground level, the CGI shifts attention to the entrance canopy, historic-looking neighbouring structure and activity along the waterfront promenade.
A distinctive production element was the recreation of Mark Gibian's Crescendo sculpture from photographic references. Modelling the artwork in 3D allowed it to sit convincingly within the architecture and respond to the same camera, light and perspective as the surrounding scene. The final images combine large-scale real estate visualization with detailed urban storytelling.
Because the project was constructed entirely in 3D, every visible layer had to be coordinated: towers, podium, waterfront, public activity, skyline context and sculpture. Multiple scales of view prevent the concept from becoming only a distant skyline image and show how the development could be experienced from the ground.
