This residential marketing visualization project presents a mountain house in Mammoth Lakes, California, for Laney LA. Five exterior CGI images explore the residence across bright winter daylight, snowfall and blue-hour conditions, showing how the architecture responds to its steep, wooded setting.
The design combines a solid stone base with broad glazing, dark structural frames and warmer timber volumes. Wider views explain the house against the snow-covered slope, while close compositions focus on projecting balconies, glass corners and the contrast between cold exterior conditions and illuminated interiors.
Winter architecture depends heavily on atmosphere. Snow depth, frosted trees, low sunlight and warm interior light were used to make the property feel genuinely located in Mammoth Lakes rather than placed inside a generic mountain background. The resulting sequence gives prospective clients both a clear architectural reading and an emotional impression of the residence as a sheltered retreat.
The main technical challenge was maintaining material and lighting consistency across changing weather. Stone, timber, glass, snow and vegetation had to respond convincingly under daylight and dusk conditions, while the cameras retained enough visibility to explain the architecture beneath the winter atmosphere.
